Fundación Wiener lab. was created in 1984 in Rosario, Argentina, with the purpose of promoting the development of the profession of Biochemistry.
It is entirely financed by Wiener Laboratorios SAIC, the most important diagnostics company in Latin America.
One of the main goals is to boost education and post-graduate training, in Biochemistry in particular, and in other health-related professions in general.
Therefore, a large portion of the foundation’s resources have been allocated to develop free update and improvement courses in Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, among other health related sciences. 

Since its creation more than 31,000 professionals have passed through their classrooms, and over 600 improvement courses have been given by the most distinguished professors in each field.
